Licensed Plumbing Technician (5 years exp)

Nick’s Plumbing & Air Conditioning is looking to fill a Licensed Plumbing Technician position within our company. Nick’s Plumbing has been doing business since 1979 in the Houston Heights, as we continue our growth in the local market, we’re looking to add some new faces to our team.

This Licensed Plumbing Technician position is a supervisory level position in our company, where the selected candidate(s) will perform all necessary maintenance, repairs and installation of water and gas line plumbing systems. Responsibilities:

The chosen applicant(s) will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and repair of all aspects of plumbing, including pipes, water heaters, fixtures, fittings, and natural gas lines. Acts as point-of-contact for on-site customer inquiries, as well as liaison between the customer and Nick’s Plumbing management. This position will respond to customer calls seeking estimates for potential jobs and will provide cost estimates prior to any work performed.

This position requires solid troubleshooting skills, familiarity with all current industry standard tools, along with physical dexterity. The Licensed Plumbing Technician may be assigned an assistant and is expected to provide leadership and guidance and may be required to perform other supervisory duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Current Tradesman or Journeyman’s Plumber License (TX)

Residential and Commercial experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to relate to customers’ needs, respond to questions, and explain procedures.

Build rapport with potential customers, maintain strong repeat business relationships.

Strong sales ability, self-motivated toward achieving goals.

Well organized, must maintain clean job sites and a clean, fully-stocked truck.

Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving Record.

Must be able to pass a standard background check.

Self-motivated, team players who take pride in their work, as well as their company.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
